Pays for itself! Just one visit to your dealer for a rear tire change will pay for this item. Instead of being charged the price for changing the tire on a Tourer/Interstate, remove your bags in five minutes THEN take it to the dealer for a "Standard" rear tire change!
Converts your bag support mounting bolts at the fender to
studs. No more removing the bags from the supports (you don't
even need to unpack them!) and no more removing the bolts from
the fender! With this kit installed, you can remove the bags
(full of stuff if you like) and supports as a unit in a five
minute operation using a 17mm wrench and a 13mm wrench. The
fragile bags are then protected by their frames when you set them
down. Bag removal and installation is simplified in that you just
set the brackets of the bag onto the studs & the whole
assembly is held in place while you start the nuts and bolts. It
could not be easier (click here to see how easy and fast). If
you do need to remove the fender for tire changes or any other
reason, just remove the studs with a wrench after taking off the
bags. All visible hardware is chrome plated for a nice look and
the underlying hardware is stainless steel for high strength and
corrosion free long lasting service. Other kits go for over $100.
This inexpensive kit looks good and works well! For
"bagless" cruising (ie you want to terrorize your local
drive in with no bags installed) get our mean looking Chrome Acorn Nut set and leave your bags
at home! This kit is compatible with the Hondaline "Bag
Guard Rails" and we now include instructions (thanks to Jim
Ross) for using it with those accessories.
