| Clear Powder Coated Wheels |
| These wheels were high polished
then clear powder coated. This picture of the rear wheel
shows the effect of the powder coat. For this picture,
the wheel had about 500 miles on it since the last
cleaning and all we did was rinse it off with plain
water. That's all! Note how the water beads up. NO dirt
sticks to these wheels. They have never been waxed. They
don't need it. The front wheel shows chromed calipers,
Hondaline Fork Covers and polished rotors along with the
clear powder coated wheel. Same deal here. Requires
little cleaning and keeps the shine with application of
S-100 and light rinse. Both wheels have the cutouts
painted as described on the main page. (see below) |
|
| The cutouts are painted with Rustoleum Hammered Black which dries in a semi-gloss rough texture (the more brush marks the better) which looks like hammered iron. It touches up relatively easily. Dabbing it on with a small artist's brush is the best method. Black (as always) looks tremendous, but Rustoleum "Hammered" comes in a variety of colors. It is not necessary to get hammered yourself to use it. Iron wheels in one evening for only $4.99. |
